Creating an interactive video on a topic decided by teachers and students together, in order to integrate digital technologies into the teaching experience: this was the subject of the contest launched by GARR – in collaboration with La Sapienza University of Rome – in which several schools participated from all over Italy.

After months of train-the-trainer activities aimed at integrating digital technologies into school education, a jury of experts – composed by Giovanni Ragone and Donatella Capaldi (University of Rome La Sapienza) and Nadia Sansone (Unitelma Sapienza) – evaluated and selected the multimedia products created by the different schools.

The joint winners of the competition are the students from Liceo Galilei of Trieste, led by professor Giovanni Rizzi, with a work focused on the theme of violence against women, and students from the IIS Marconi-Guarasci of Cosenza, led by professor Rosa Marincola, with a video on Artificial Intelligence. Both schools have been awarded the opportunity to present their work at Didacta,  the most important international exhibition focused on education and training, which took place in Florence from 9 to 11th October 2019.

This competition is part of a wider activity: a free path to support the use of the main digital-focused teaching methods promoted by the Up2U European project, which on October 23rd will launch a new phase of the training activity in Italy, open to all secondary school teachers who want to experiment with their students an alternative way of teaching. The activity of the new edition will focus on the design of paths for the enhancement of cultural heritage linked to the humanistic and scientific fields.
